New Year’s Retreat in the Swiss Alps 

As the year comes to an end, leave behind the holiday stress and step into a nourishing 4-day retreat nestled in the beautiful Swiss Alps. This is your time to relax, recharge, and reflect on the past year, while setting clear, authentic intentions for the coming year.

Meet the person you wanna become and join a supportive community of like-minded people as we practice conscious communication, mindfulness, relaxation, mind-body awareness, slowing down, stillness, grounding, self-care, community building, while also experiencing a lot of playfulness and fun.

This nourishing retreat provides space for self-observation, expanded awareness and self love, helping you find clarity and meaning. With this newfound wisdom, you can make empowered choices to create the new year in your best interest.

New Year’s Celebration:

We will create a special New Year’s program together, filled with moments of joy, laughter, creativity, and togetherness, with uplifting and fun activities to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Let yourself be surprised!

  If all our private rooms are booked, and you prefere to have more privacy, you can also book a room at the Kerenzerberg Sport center, if they have space available. (Make sure to book on time, mention that you are staying with Mahara and if they have a room with lake views).

FEES

Fees: 8.1% Tax, Tourist Tax 4.40/night and 2.3% online ticketing fee.

With the tourist Tax you have the possiblity to travel with Public Transport for a discounted price in Glarus.

PAYMENT PROCESS: 

The payment process is split into two payments:

1st payment including fees paid online to reserve your spot. 2nd payment upon your arrival direct to the cook.

The cost of your ticket includes both 1st & 2nd Payment.

1st payment = all workshops with Mahara's guidance, and accommodation at our venue, plus all fees*.

2nd payment = delicious vegetarian/vegan meals.

THE VENUE

EQUILIBRA – A sanctuary for inner alchemy and awakening, located in Filzbach, in the Swiss Alps, surrounded by majestic mountains. The view of the beautiful Lake Walensee and its waterfalls, along with many wonderful hiking trails right outside the door, invites you to relax. In the 1920s, the building was a silk factory, later a mini-golf course, before it was converted into three apartments. Today, it has been lovingly renovated, preserving the charm of the building.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodations at Equilibra are on-site and offer enough privacy and space for your comfort. 

We have a showerplan and share all bathrooms. There are 4 showers which is enough for the small group size that we accomodate.

In our cozy 64m² dormitory, there are no bunk beds, and everyone has their own privacy through dividers or curtains.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Please check your email inbox/spam folder after purchasing to see if you have received our confirmation email with further important information. If not, it’s important to contact us.

• 1 week before the course, we will send you a welcome letter with all the details you need.

• The course is suitable for both English and German speakers who understand basic English (you can speak in German). Mahara will be guiding this course in English.

• We offer delicious vegetarian cuisine, with vegan options upon request, and can accommodate dietary restrictions.

• Karma Yoga: Everyone will be helping once for 15-20 min in the kitchen.

DAILY SCHEDULE 

We will have a special New Year's celebration that will be a lot of fun.

Here’s an example how a day could look like on a regular day / not New Years Eve - stay fluid and be open for change.

• 8:00 - 9:00 AM: Breakfast

• 9:15 - 10:30 AM: Body practices (Yoga, Breathwork, Authentic Movement, Dance...)

• 10.30-1.00 PM Workshop

• 1.00 PM: Lunch

• 1-3 PM: Break (go for a walk, get to know each other, read, journal ...)

• 3:00 PM: Workshop

• 5:00 PM: Tea & Snacks

• 5:45 PM: Workshop

• 7:30 PM: Dinner

• 9:00 PM: Optional Community time, get together for Jam sessions/ story telling / massage exchanges / relaxation

• From 10:30 PM: Silence

• From 11:00 PM: Lights out - except on Dec 31 :)

  *Bring a soft reading lamp if you wish to read a bit longer at night.
